Norwegian University of Science and Technology
NTNU has a main profile in science and technology, a variety of programmes of professional study, and great academic breadth that also includes the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines and artistic activities. NTNU educates ca. 80% of the engineers in Norway. NTNU participates in MORE with the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MTP), Faculty of Engineering (NTNU MTP) and will offer their more than 15 years expertise in tribocorrosion and multi-degradation testing and its fundamental understanding.
GCE NODE
GCE NODE is an industry-driven cluster for ocean technologies. GCE NODE comprises 122 companies,
most of which constitute a world-leading value chain of suppliers to the oil & gas, offshore, energy and
maritime industries. Member companies participate in research, development and innovation projects which
explore common issues that need resolve. The cluster is dedicated to increasing and facilitating world-class
competency by offering insight into market developments, new industry opportunities and transfer of technology from the oil & gas sector to offshore renewables and other emerging markets and industries. GCE NODE cooperates with a wide range of research and academic institutions, national and international clusters, trade organizations, funding agencies as well as local, regional, and national government bodies and officials. The former GCE NODE ART project (NRC funded Petromaks project) led by GCE NODE is an important source of science-based knowledge to be utilised by the MORE-project, hence MORE to be considers as valuable spin-off project. GCE NODE will be responsible for transferring the existing knowledge from the Norwegian Offshore O&G sector to the MORE project.
CorPower Ocean
CorPower Ocean brings high-efficiency Wave Energy technology enabling reliable and cost-effective
harvesting of electricity from ocean waves. With CorPower’s research and development spanning decades, their innovation is inspired by the pumping principle of the human heart. Ocean energy brings stability to the clean energy mix, accelerating the transition to zero-carbon energy. Headquartered in Sweden, with offices in Portugal, Norway and Scotland, they design, build and install turnkey solutions that allow their customers to power the planet with clean energy from ocean waves.
Wavepiston
Wavepiston’s vision is to make wave energy an important player in the portfolio of renewable energy sources ensuring reliable, clean and cheap power and fresh water. Their mission is to commercialise a cost-efficient wave energy system for electricity production and desalination, replacing the dirty footprint of power generation and ensuring clean power and clean water for all.
Servi Group
